Thermo Fisher Scientific Expands Popular Small-Volume Dialysis Product Line

ROCKFORD, Ill. (October 17, 2011) – Thermo Fisher Scientific, the world leader in serving science, today announced that its Thermo Scientific Slide-A-Lyzer MINI Dialysis Device line is now available in new sizes, with molecular weight cut-offs of 3,500, 10,000 and 20,000. The integrated regenerated cellulose membranes of these devices are compatible with a variety of common chemicals and buffers and provide greater than 90 percent protein recovery and rapid dialysis rates. These popular Slide-A-Lyzer® MINI Dialysis Devices can process up to two milliliters of biological sample and are useful for removing low molecular weight contaminants, exchanging buffers or desalting samples.

The self-contained, single-use devices require no centrifuge, syringes, beakers or laborious steps. Dialysis is rapid and performed in the supplied 15 or 50 milliliter conical tubes, minimizing the amount of dialysis buffer required.
