Thermo Fisher Scientific Announces the Availability of New Fluorescent Secondary Antibodies

ROCKFORD, Ill. (May 28, 2009) — Thermo Fisher Scientific, the world leader in serving science, introduces the new line of Thermo Scientific DyLight-Labeled Highly Cross-Adsorbed Secondary Antibodies that show minimum cross-reactivity. The high specificity, fluorescent antibodies display little nonspecific binding. The affinity-purified goat anti-mouse IgG (H+L) varieties are solid-phase adsorbed to minimize cross-reaction with human, bovine, horse, rabbit and swine serum proteins. The affinity-purified goat anti-rabbit IgG (H+L) varieties are solid-phase adsorbed to minimize cross-reaction with human, mouse and rat serum proteins. The DyLight™-Labeled Secondary Antibodies require shorter incubations times and provide increased assay sensitivity compared to dye-conjugated antibodies.

The DyLight-Labeled Secondary Antibodies are ideal for flow cytometry, fluorescence microscopy, ELISA, protein array and high-content analysis applications. DyLight Fluors display well-separated emission spectra with no overlap between fluorophore channels, enabling multiplex staining experiments. They are compatible with the principle output wavelengths of common fluorescence instrumentation and resist photobleaching, allowing for data collection even under demanding conditions.

The new secondary antibodies are supplied as a 1 mg/ml solution that can be stored for one year at 4°C. For a complete listing of these antibodies and their spectral properties, please visit www.thermo.com/pierce or call +1-800-874-3723.
