Kerri Leeming, Director of Clinical Operations at TCTC, said “As one of Europe’s fastest growing Contract Research Organisations it seemed appropriate that we take our place within the Clinical Contract Research Association.” TCTC have already joined the CCRA delegation to the Drug Information Association 20th Annual Euro Meeting in Barcelona recently. Susan Dilks, Director of Operations at CCRA commented “We are pleased to welcome TCTC to membership of CCRA. Membership is seen as a commitment to maintaining the highest standards in clinical research and I am sure that this move will even further enhance the reputation of our new member”.

About the Clinical Trial Company

The Clinical Trial Company is a full service clinical contract research organization (CRO) and was formed in the UK in 2002. The founders of TCTC realized that there was an opportunity in the CRO sector for a company which targeted medium sized clinical trials and novel products which did not have a classical road map to the market. The large CROs, for good business reasons, prioritise studies from the big pharmaceutical companies. However, this approach may sometimes disadvantage their smaller clients who are equally keen to complete their clinical trials quickly.

The Clinical Trial Company is headquartered in Knutsford in Cheshire, UK with regional offices in Toronto and Montreal in Canada, as well as Sydney and Perth in Australia. TCTC also has operating divisions covering all aspects of drug development including The CRA Company, The Regulatory Affairs Company, The Clinical Training Company and the Clinical Quality Assurance Company.

About the Clinical Contract Research Association

The CCRA was established to represent the views and concerns of its members to the UK government and EU legislative bodies including regulatory agencies. The CCRA works with government agencies to support members when promoting their services abroad. It aims to promote the highest standards of clinical practice through a Code of Practice for members. In addition, the CCRA aims to promote the benefits of clinical contract research to the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries. The association works to safeguard the health, welfare and interests of all participants in clinical trials. It also provides networking opportunities in the UK and overseas for its members. The CCRA also organizes a very highly respected annual training conference for members of Research Ethics Committees and R&D leads.
