The world’s leading laboratory blender has EVOlved

Munich, Germany – 10 May 2016 – Seward Ltd., manufacturer of the renowned Stomacher® blender for 40 years, has introduced the all new Seward Stomacher® 400 EVO laboratory blender, together with Stomacher® 400 ECO sample preparation bags, at Analytica, Munich (10-13 May, 2016). The Stomacher 400 EVO has been engineered and designed to make it even easier to use, almost silent in operation, and with the rugged and dependable day-to-day performance for which Stomacher 400 blenders are renowned. Laboratories can also save up to 25% on consumables by using the Seward Stomacher 400 EVO with the new Stomacher ECO bags. These use significantly less plastic, saving waste and making them both economical and eco-friendly.

With proven reliability and durability over 40 years, Seward Stomacher blenders are used to prepare over 8 million food samples in more than 150 countries. The new Seward Stomacher 400 EVO combines these gold standard attributes with improved features that make it even easier to use, easier to clean and extremely quiet. The unique, one-touch bag loading system means operators just need to place the bag in the loading slot, and by pushing the start button, the bag is sealed and blending begins. Together with the ‘no-fuss’ programmable screen display, operators can process samples quickly and efficiently.

The Seward Stomacher 400 EVO’s rubber base, combined with a host of design and engineering developments, helps to eliminate bench movements and ensure almost silent operation, which reduces stress and disruptions to other lab work. A removable drip tray means that any spillages during the day can be quickly cleaned, and for thorough cleaning, the paddle chamber can be easily opened and the paddles removed, making the complete chamber accessible.

“With our new Seward Stomacher 400 EVO we have completely re-thought how we can better support the food sample preparation process, offering real value to laboratories while keeping true to our commitment to quality, reliability and performance,” said Dan Crothers, Seward’s Managing Director. “So, together with these new features, we offer a three year warranty as standard, meaning labs can be sure of their return on investment. In addition, labs can save on ongoing costs with the Stomacher 400 ECO bags. By using less plastic in our ECO bags we can offer up to a 25% saving over standard Stomacher bags, which for some labs means that the system can pay for itself in as little as a year.”

Analytica visitors will be able to find out more about the new Seward Stomacher® 400 EVO laboratory blender and Stomacher 400 ECO sample preparation bags at the Seward stand in Hall B2, Stand 518.
