Terumo Interventional Systems Files Patent Infringement Lawsuit Against Vascular Solutions and Lepu Medical

SOMERSET, N.J., Feb. 19, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Terumo Medical Corporation (Terumo), today announced that it has filed a patent infringement lawsuit against Vascular Solutions Inc. and Lepu Medical Technology (Beijing) Co., Ltd in the U.S. District Court of New Jersey.

The complaint alleges that R Band Radial Hemostasis Device distributed by Vascular Solutions and manufactured by Lepu Medical Technology infringes on a patent and trademark, which Terumo Medical Corporation holds the U.S. rights to for its proprietary TR Band Radial Compression Device. Terumo seeks an injunction against further sales of the violative product.
