TAP Biosystems Announces Rapid Expansion of its Bioprocess Team Providing Global Access to Network of ambr Specialists

06 December 2011 -- TAP Biosystems, (the new corporate identity of The Automation Partnership), a leading supplier of innovative automation and consumables for life science applications, is pleased to announce it has expanded its bioprocess team with the appointment of new application specialists in Europe and the USA, as well as a network of new distributors. The expansion will allow bioprocess scientists world-wide to access TAP’s unique advanced micro bioreactor (ambr™) automated bioprocessing technologies and expertise.

TAP’s bioprocessing business was launched in 2010 with the introduction of the ambr range of automated micro bioreactor mimics. Since then, TAP has installed ambr systems worldwide in leading pharma and biotech companies and orders for many additional systems have been placed. To keep pace with the demand for this continually evolving product line, TAP has appointed two new application specialists in the USA, two in Europe and has also put in place a network of more than 10 new distributors specialising in bioprocessing in South East Asia, Russia and the Middle East.

Dr Barney Zoro, ambr Product Manager at TAP Biosystems stated: “We are delighted that in just over a year, we have been able to build such a successful business in bioprocessing. The ambr technology is a different concept to other micro bioreactor mimics on the market and proving the validity of the technology so convincingly has been a great achievement. The expansion of our team shows we remain committed to developing and supporting the ambr product range. We look forward to hearing from potential distributors with bioprocess expertise and scientists that would like to discuss how ambr can improve the productivity of biologicals’ manufacturing.”
