- Syngenta to Use Advanced Machine Learning and Predictive Analytics App from Iteris for Agronomic Innovation -
SANTA ANA, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Iteris, Inc. (NASDAQ: ITI), the global leader in applied informatics for transportation and agriculture, has entered into an agreement with Syngenta to deliver ClearAg® Mobile for use in biologicals research. Syngenta Research & Development staff will use high-resolution soil moisture, soil temperature, leaf wetness, and other ClearAg agronomic content to determine what environmental factors are key in product efficacy.
“We look forward to working with Syngenta and to providing precise, global, environmental information for an even better understanding of product performance in the field.”
ClearAg Mobile, Iteris’ grower analytics application, provides weather, water, soil, crop health, and crop growth information directly to the hands of Syngenta researchers via their mobile device. Syngenta will leverage ClearAg Mobile’s forecasted weather and historical advisor to better support key staff with crucial forecasted and historical environmental information wherever Syngenta biological research is conducted.
“With ClearAg Mobile researchers will be able to determine optimal conditions for product application by incorporating factors such as forecasted UV and relative humidity; Syngenta staff can also better determine when re-application is needed based on accumulated UV exposure and precipitation,” said Iteris’ Senior Vice President of Performance Analytics, Tom Blair. “We look forward to working with Syngenta and to providing precise, global, environmental information for an even better understanding of product performance in the field.”
