Stemline Therapeutics, Inc. Announces Proposed Public Offering Of Common Stock

NEW YORK, Jan. 7, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Stemline Therapeutics, Inc. (Stemline) (Nasdaq:STML), a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company developing oncology therapeutics targeting cancer stem cells (CSCs) and tumor bulk, today announced that it intends to offer and sell shares of its common stock in an underwritten public offering. Stemline expects to grant the underwriters a 30-day option to purchase up to an additional 15% of the shares of common stock offered in the offering. Stemline intends to use the net proceeds from the public offering to fund the clinical development of SL-401, SL-701, the development of its preclinical pipeline and other general corporate purposes.

Jefferies LLC and Cowen and Company, LLC are acting as joint book-running managers for the offering. Aegis Capital Corp is acting as co-lead manager for the offering.
