The check for $100,000 will be presented to representatives from Loma Linda University Children's Hospital Foundation on Tuesday, December 12, 2006, at 1:00 p.m. at Loma Linda University Children's Hospital located at 11234 Anderson Street in Loma Linda. This check presentation will take place just prior to the 2:00 p.m. premiere screening of the Paramount Pictures family film "Charlotte's Web," which is not due out in theaters until Friday, December 15.

At the check presentation ceremony, the future plans for the exciting Stater Bros. Movie Theater will be discussed. This theater will provide a place where young patients can leave the reality of fighting their illness far behind. The theater will also help the hospital attract more first-run screenings of movies, such as "Charlotte's Web." Going to public movie theaters is a pleasure many patients cannot enjoy due to the risk of infection.

"This theater will bring the magic of movies to hospital-bound children and help them escape to a happier place," stated Jack H. Brown, Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer of Stater Bros. Markets. The Stater Bros. 'Family' of Employees and Procter & Gamble are both thrilled to be able to provide this opportunity."

During the month of May, Stater Bros.' customers and employees helped to support this donation by purchasing featured Procter & Gamble products. All Stater Bros. Supermarkets participated in this promotion to benefit the Loma Linda University Children's Hospital.

The Loma Linda University Children's Hospital is a comprehensive, state-of-the-art medical facility designed especially for children's unique healthcare needs. The 256-bed Children's Hospital is committed to providing the highest possible level of healthcare for children.
