Stanbio Laboratory Announces Management Team Promotion and Additions

BOERNE, TX – June 6, 2011 – Stanbio Laboratory supplemented its leadership team by adding new positions designed to prepare the company for further expansion in both domestic and international markets.

Al Blanco was promoted to the newly created Vice President of Business Development position on May 9, 2011. Mr. Blanco is a 19-year Stanbio veteran who was previously Vice President of Marketing.

“Al’s technical acumen, strong product development expertise and long-standing history with Stanbio and the markets we serve make him the perfect choice to explore new strategic alliances and business opportunities for our company,” said Stanbio Laboratory President William R. Pippin. “Al has been instrumental in the growth of Stanbio Laboratory and I’m very pleased to have his continued support and guidance in this new and important role,” Pippin added.

Mark Rison assumed the new Director of Quality position for Stanbio on May 2, 2011. Mr. Rison was formerly President and Chief Operating Officer for the U.S. Division of Colin Medical Instruments Corporation of Japan. “Mark Rison’s quality and regulatory experience backed by his lean manufacturing and ISO 9000 and ISO 13485 certification and compliance knowledge, will be very beneficial as he continues to build on our strong quality focus. We’re delighted to have him with us,” Pippin said.

Wayne Kipp became Stanbio Laboratory’s new Marketing Manager on May 9th. Mr. Kipp has a solid background in healthcare marketing, communications and business development. His previous experience includes marketing positions with Tenet Health System and MedCath Corporation. “Wayne has Fortune 200-level experience and will bring helpful analytical and technical disciplines to the role of marketing and brand management at Stanbio Laboratory,” Pippin said.
