ST. PAUL, Minn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--St. Jude Medical, Inc. (NYSE:STJ), a global medical device company, today announced U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approval and launch of its ILUMIEN™ OPTIS™ PCI Optimization™ System, a new technology designed to provide physicians with a comprehensive disease assessment tool for treating patients with coronary artery disease (CAD). The system will be on display for the first time in the U.S. during the 2013 Transcatheter Cardiovascular Therapeutics (TCT) scientific symposium.
