St. Francis Medical Technologies Files Registration Statement For Proposed Initial Public Offering

ALAMEDA, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 21, 2006--St. Francis Medical Technologies, Inc. (St. Francis Medical), announced today that it has filed a registration statement with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) relating to the proposed initial public offering of shares of its common stock. Copies of the St. Francis Medical S-1 Registration Statement can be accessed over the Internet through the SEC's Web site at edgar.sec.gov. All shares of the common stock to be sold in this offering are proposed to be sold by St. Francis Medical.

St. Francis Medical is a medical device company focused on the design, development and marketing of motion-preserving technologies and procedures for orthopedic and neurological spine surgery.

Citigroup Global Markets Inc. and J.P. Morgan Securities Inc. will be acting as joint bookrunning managers and Piper Jaffray & Co. and Thomas Weisel Partners LLC will be acting as co-managers.
