Spiracur Launches New Website Featuring Patient-Friendly Animation

SUNNYVALE, CA--(Marketwire - March 27, 2012) - Spiracur® Inc., developer of an ultraportable and disposable negative pressure wound therapy (NPWT) device, recently launched a new, enhanced website featuring patient-friendly animation to demonstrate the benefits of the innovative SNaP® Wound Care System for treatment of chronic and acute wounds.

The website is navigation-friendly and presents information about Spiracur's NPWT solution through training videos, personal patient success stories, clinical data, application guidelines for patients and caregivers, and an animation short movie.

"We're excited to launch our newly designed website featuring an easy-flow format and the latest in animation technology," said Linda LaMagna, vice president of global marketing and strategic planning at Spiracur. "The website enables patients and clinicians alike to easily find information they're looking for with regard to the SNaP System and wound healing solutions.

"It is our primary goal to make a positive difference in a patient's quality of life throughout the wound healing process," continued LaMagna. "Our simple, lightweight device offers significant benefits to patients compared to other NPWT options available today, which we highlight through animation and other visual features to provide useful information at a glance."

The four-minute animated short tells the story of Charlie, a 71-year-old war veteran who suffers from diabetes. Charlie enjoys leading an active life and dislikes it when wounds get in the way of this. He is provided negative pressure wound therapy utilizing the SNaP System and discovers that he can easily continue his daily activities while the device is hidden under his pant leg, working discreetly to heal his wound.

Unlike conventional NPWT devices, the SNaP System (Smart Negative Pressure®) weighs just 2.2 ounces and does not require electricity or batteries to operate. The elegant device fits easily under a person's clothing and is invisible to the outside world, enabling patients' to resume normal activity during their wound care treatment.
