Southern California Biomedical Council (SoCalBio) Partners With NimbleCat To Launch Advanced L.A. Region Bioscience Job Board

LOS ANGELES--(BUSINESS WIRE)--The Southern California Biomedical Council (SoCalBio) and semantic search leader NimbleCat today announced the launch of an advanced job board platform that matches local bioscience jobseekers and employers.

Under the partnership announced today, NimbleCat targets its patented semantic matching technology to L.A.-area job board data in order to help local biotech, biomed and digital health companies hire local candidates. According to a recent poll conducted by SoCalBio, more than 40 percent of new hires by such companies are from outside the L.A. region. The report cites inefficiency in identifying and recruiting qualified local candidates as a major challenge for the industry, and a financial burden due to higher recruitment and relocation costs for both established and emerging companies.
