Sony to Lay Off 10,000 Workers Worldwide

Sony Corp. said it will be cutting 10,000 jobs, or about 6 percent of its global workforce, as the company looks to regain profit after four years in the red, Reuters reports. The company reported a $2.7 billion net loss for the fiscal year just ended. TV makers like Sony, Panasonic and Sharp are expected to have lost a combined $17 billion in the year just ended.
