SoluLinK, Inc. Introduces First-Ever Digoxigenin Antibody Labeling Kit with Built-in Quantification

9/15/2011 11:44:33 AM

San Diego, California — January 6, 2009 — SoluLinK, Inc., a leader in conjugation products and complete easy to use kits, announces the introduction of its newest product, the ChromaLink TM Digoxigenin

One-Shot Antibody Labeling Kit. This innovative kit includes all the components for the rapid traceable digoxigenin labeling of a single antibody. The kit features SoluLinK’s patented sulfo-ChromaLink linker, a water-soluble, digoxigenin labeling reagent that allows rapid and direct, non-destructive quantification of incorporated biotin.

- Complete Kit: Comes complete with all necessary reagents and a foolproof protocol and reference materials conveniently located on a flash drive in the kit.

- Built-in Quantitative Signal: Incorporated biotin is quantified using a simple UV-scan — no HABA or Fluoro-reporter assay needed.

- Cost-Effective and Efficient: Digoxigenin labels 100 µg of a single antibody with up to 80% recovery.

- Safe and Green: Water-soluble and mild on antibodies — no DMF or other organic solvents needed.

- Inexpensive

This advanced digoxigenin labeling reagent contains an embedded bis-aryl hydrazone structure, which forms the compound’s UV-traceable chromophore; after incorporation, digoxigenin is rapidly quantified using a non-destructive UV-scan (220-400 nm). This traceable signature enables the nondestructive and direct quantification of digoxigenin attached to the antibody.

Digoxigenin has long been used as an alternative hapten reporter system to the streptavidin/biotin system. In more recent times, this reporter system has also been used side-by-side with the biotin- streptavidin system for the detection of multiplexed antigens. Unlike the biotin reporter system, digoxigenin incorporation has never had any known method of quantifying incorporated label like the biotin HABA assay, until now. The kit features high antibody recoveries (50-80%) with consistent digoxigenin incorporation.

The degree of incorporation or molar substitution ratio (MSR) ranges from 2-8 digoxigenin molecules per antibody. This kit can be used to label a diverse group of antibodies including all mammalian IgG, IgE, and avian IgY molecules.

ChromaLinkTM Digoxigenin One-Shot Antibody Labeling Kit is another addition to a new line of SoluLinK products designed to address market needs for quantitative detection with effective and proven conjugation technology, supplied in a complete, easy-to-use format. SoluLinK’s innovative bioconjugation technology has contributed to our customers’ and collaborators’ ability to easily build greater value into their efforts and products. With SoluLinK’s product advantages in quantification, control, stability and growing patent portfolio, SoluLinK has established a strong leadership position in bioconjugation,” observed Leo Mendoza, Director of Product Development at SoluLinK.
