Signet Laboratories, Inc. Announces Availability Of Monoclonal Cyclin E

1/24/2006 12:33:12 PM

DEDHAM, Mass., Jan. 24 /PRNewswire/ -- Signet Laboratories, Inc., a leading medical diagnostics/research company specializing in the development of monoclonal antibodies and diagnostic assays for cancer, infectious disease, and neurodegenerative disease, today announced the availability of monoclonal Cyclin E antibody.

Cyclin E, clone HE12, is a cell cycle protein that regulates G1-S phase transition in mammalian cells and is required for DNA synthesis. Aberrant expression of Cyclin E has been demonstrated in a multitude of malignancies.

Studies have implicated Cyclin E as a marker of unfavorable prognosis for some cancers, including breast and lung cancer. Signet's Cyclin E, clone HE12, recognizes human Cyclin E.

Signet's Cyclin E antibody offers investigators a valuable tool for cancer research. Cyclin E complements Signet's current cancer and cell cycle product portfolio which includes markers such as Cyclin D1, Cyclin E, HE4 and Hepsin.
