Shanghai Kinetic Medical's Spinal Device OK'd in U.S.

September 21, 2012 -- Shanghai Kinetic Medical Co. said its KMC Kyphoplasty System has been approved for use in the US by the FDA. The company plans to expand its marketing first to the US and ultimately to other international markets. The Kyphoplasty System is a minimally invasive treatment for compression fractures of the vertebrae. After a vertebra collapses, the proper height and angle of the spine is restored by a balloon catheter, which is then cemented in place. More details....
