SGI Altix(R) ICE Compute Cluster Drives South Pacific Climate Modeling and Research at Australia's University of Tasmania

FREMONT, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--SGI (NASDAQ:SGI), a global leader in HPC and data center solutions, today announced that the Tasmanian Partnership for Advanced Computing (TPAC) at the University of Tasmania’s (UTAS) supercomputing facility has completed the installation of a new 64-node SGI® Altix® ICE 8200 compute cluster for Antarctic climate modeling and other vital research.
