Sensitech Inc. to Present at IQPC's Fifth Annual Cold Chain Distribution for Pharmaceuticals Conference

BEVERLY, Mass., Sept. 6 /PRNewswire/ -- Sensitech Inc., a global leader in cold chain visibility solutions, will lead a workshop at the IQPC Cold Chain Distribution for Pharmaceuticals Conference at the Philadelphia Convention Center, Sept. 10-13. The conference will focus on "Best Practices for Effective Packaging, Shipping and Storage of Temperature Sensitive Pharmaceuticals to Ensure Safety and Compliance." Sensitech is a wholly owned subsidiary of Carrier Corp., a unit of United Technologies Corp. .

The interactive session, presented by Sensitech Cold Chain Visibility Advisor Mark Maurice and Senior Director Ken McCabe, will highlight best practices for collecting, managing and evaluating cold chain data for temperature sensitive pharmaceuticals. The workshop will explore how cold chain data is being used to document cold chain system performance and drive continuous improvement programs.

In addition, case studies will be presented to highlight best practices in thermal mapping and shipping studies. Opportunities for demonstrable return on investment will also be explored. The event is organized by Pharma IQ, the pharmaceutical division of IQPC. Pharma IQ provides a forum to address the critical issues facing the pharmaceutical industry by utilizing workshops, conferences and training courses formats for pharmaceutical professionals.

About Mark Maurice

As sr. project manager and industrial engineer, Sensitech cold chain visibility advisor, Maurice is responsible for managing a cross-functional team of project and assistant project managers with backgrounds in industrial engineering, food science and technical writing. The team defines and executes projects such as facility, trailer and container thermal mappings, shipping studies, and site audits. These cold chain visibility solutions enable Sensitech customers to make decisions that impact product quality and improve profitability. Before joining Sensitech, Maurice served for 16 years as an industrial engineering and operations manager at United Parcel Service, where he completed numerous projects focused on supply chain and warehousing improvements.

McCabe is Sensitech's senior director of Life Science sales. He has more than 25 years of professional sales and marketing experience covering the pharmaceutical, medical imaging and biotechnology markets.
