Sectra Signs Agreement to Distribute its Breast Imaging PACS With Integrated Cad Software

International medical technology company, Sectra (NASDAQ OMX Stockholm: SECT B), announces an agreement with Merge Healthcare to distribute its CADstream[TM]Software, fully integrated with Sectra Breast Imaging PACS.

This strategic agreement with Merge will provide Sectra customers with increased efficiency of MRI study analysis. Enhanced reporting and interventional planning tools will improve referring physician communication and result in time savings and standardization of processes for radiologists.

Sectra Breast Imaging PACS is a web-based, multi-modality workstation featuring advanced diagnostic tools, including integrated CAD and reporting, that offers a single-system reading environment for mammographers. All digital breast images, even breast tomosynthesis, regardless of modality vendor, are automatically displayed in the same size with correct orientation and alignment, facilitating comparison of current and prior images.
