Scripps Hires Scientists, Reveals What It Will Conduct Research On

Even as the location of its Palm Beach County campus remains uncertain, Scripps Florida took shape Tuesday with the announcement of 11 research departments and more than a dozen top scientists to help run them. The biotech institute's South Florida campus will research diseases and conditions such as HIV, obesity, bipolar disorder and cancer. The scientists introduced Tuesday studied at such institutions as Harvard and Yale, the University of Florida and the University of Manchester, England.
