Schering-Plough Corporation Announces Gregory J. Szpunar Appointed Group Vice President, Global Project Management, Schering-Plough Research Institute

KENILWORTH, N.J., March 16 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Schering-Plough Corporation announced today that Gregory J. Szpunar, R.PH., Ph.D., has been appointed group vice president, Global Project Management, Schering-Plough Research Institute (SPRI).

In this role, Szpunar is responsible for executing and managing a global project management function for Schering-Plough's product development and commercialization process. He is based in Kenilworth and reports to Thomas Koestler, Ph.D., executive vice president, Global Development, SPRI.

Szpunar joined Schering-Plough from Biovail Corporation, where he served as chief scientific officer and senior vice president for R&D and Manufacturing. Prior to that position, he was senior vice president, Product Development, at Pharmacia Corporation.

Szpunar holds a Ph.D. in Pharmaceutics from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, and a B.S. in Pharmacy from Wayne State University, in Detroit, Michigan.
