MCLEAN, Va., Nov. 8, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC) (NYSE: SAI) announced several recent contract awards during the current quarter, with a total value of approximately $242 million from its government and commercial healthcare customers.

As healthcare providers look to technology for ways to improve the quality of care and drive efficiencies across business and healthcare systems, SAIC is executing a multi-pronged health solutions strategy to bolster business growth across its Federal and commercial customer base through the recent acquisitions of maxIT Healthcare and Vitalize Consulting Solutions (VCS).
