Don is a Venture Partner with Volition Capital, where he assists companies in evaluating and initiating new investment opportunities, shaping their business and marketing plans, and in introducing portfolio companies to major U.S. and international technology customers and partners. Prior to Volition, Don held a similar role with Fidelity Ventures, and before that was CIO of Fidelity Investments. He also spent 34 years with IBM where he held executive positions in hardware and software development, with responsibilities for telecommunications, systems management and operating systems.
Sammy Haroon, COO, Accurate Electronics
Sammy Haroon is a seasoned product innovation and commercialization executive who advises Saffron on growth strategy and business development in the consumer product goods sector. A career innovator and entrepreneur, Sammy currently serves as the COO of Accurate Electronics (AE), a wireless products and services company. Previously he served Procter & Gamble as their Global Innovation Leader, and while there instituted transformational changes in product development that accelerated P&G's concept-to-market time by 50%, and also developed the company's first Innovation Center in the Middle East. Among other industry posts, Sammy currently is President of The Indus Entrepreneurs Carolinas, part of the world's largest non-profit entrepreneurial organization.
Thomas Jones, former President & CEO, Velosel Corporation
Tom has over 20 years of experience in leading both publicly listed and privately funded enterprise software and applications companies. Most recently, Tom was President & CEO of Velosel Corporation, a leader in the Product Information Management industry serving Retailers & Consumer Goods Manufacturers. Previously Tom was Senior Vice President of North American Sales at PeopleSoft. Prior to PeopleSoft, Tom was president of MDL Information Systems, Inc. (MDL), a software application provider to the pharmaceutical and chemical industry. Tom has served on the Board of Directors of MDL, Nexprise, Ventro, Crosslogix and OnQ Technologies, is a member of the Strategic Advisory Board for At Hoc Inc. and the Board of Directors for RedOak Logic, LLC.
Raul Vejar, former EVP and COO, SAP/Business Objects
A seasoned executive in the enterprise software industry, Raul currently advises early stage private companies in the enterprise software space. Previously he served as EVP and COO of SAP/Business Objects where he oversaw the integration of Business Objects after it was acquired by SAP. Earlier, Vejar served SAP as EVP, Corporate Strategy, providing the Executive Board with consulting and strategic guidance on a range of competitive, operational, and organizational issues. He joined SAP AG in 1990 and in 1994 he founded SAP Mexico. He was appointed regional president of SAP Latin America in 1999. Prior to joining SAP, Vejar managed information systems for Novum Corporation, in Mexico City.
