Sacom SPA, Leader in the Italian Green Biotechnology Fertilizer Industry, Enters the VedoGreen Financial Network

MILAN, Sept. 26, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Sacom SPA, a company listed on the AIM market of the Italian Stock Exchange, entered the VedoGreen network, created in 2011 with the aim of promoting the visibility of national companies sensitive to issues of sustainable development.

Sacom Group is active in green biotechnology for the production of microorganisms intended to be used as vegetable addition to fertilizers of various nature. Sacom was founded in 1981 with the aim of distributing agricultural products for the regional market. Since 1992 its work has been focused on the production of fertilizers and products for agricultural use. Thanks to the acquisition of the subsidiary ELEP SpA, the production has been extended to biotechnology-based products for agricultural use (microbes and mycorrhizae) which is now the business area of major importance for the Group.

As part of the process of expanding to foreign markets, particularly in Eastern Europe, Africa and Southwest Asia, last August Sacom signed an agreement for the acquisition of 51% of the capital of Agafert, specialized in the sale and distribution of fertilizers and products for agriculture, already present in markets with high growth potential.
