BLOOMINGTON, MN--(Marketwire - November 17, 2011) -

http://www.gnresound.com - ReSound, the technology leader in hearing aid solutions, has appointed healthcare industry veteran, Kimberly Herman, as its new president.

Herman brings with her more than 20 years of experience within the US healthcare industry. Prior to joining ReSound, Herman held positions as US President of Coloplast Corp, vice president at Apria Healthcare; senior vice president and chief marketing officer at Gentiva Health Services; and executive vice president and chief operating officer at Senior Homecare, Inc. Herman also has six years of consulting and interim leadership experience for private equity portfolio clients.

"We are excited to add Kim's experience and leadership to our North American team," said Todd Murray, president, GN Hearing Care Group. "Kim brings with her to ReSound, considerable healthcare experience as well as an intense customer focus. These qualities will help us build an even more customer oriented organization, delivering more value and high service levels to our existing customers as well as new customers. I truly look forward to Kim's contributions to our continued growth and success in the Resound business."

Herman recognizes the importance of bringing value to ReSound's customers through a unique combination of unparalleled service, exceptional customer relations, and state-of-the-art technical innovation. She emphasizes that the talent and commitment of the ReSound team is the reason for the company's phenomenal growth.

"For two years now, ReSound has been one of the fastest-growing hearing aid manufacturers in the US," said Herman. "My job now is to ensure that we continue to separate ourselves competitively, and by doing so, we will magnify and accelerate our positive growth trend."
