"In the past year we've experienced unprecedented demand for our registries and integrated research management systems. This additional capital will fuel our growth here in the U.S. and our expansion into Europe and Latin America," said Gary Kennedy, Founder & CEO of Remedy Informatics. "In addition it will enable us to continue to invest in our Mosaic Platform so that we can further extend our technology lead in the marketplace."

Remedy serves a wide range of leading life science and healthcare institutions across the globe. During the last 12 months Remedy has entered into a series of major new customer engagements, including Cleveland Clinic's Heart and Vascular Institute, Massachusetts General Hospital, Baylor Health Care System, Princess Margaret Cancer Centre in Toronto, Indiana University and the Indiana Clinical and Translational Science Institute, Genentech and many others. Remedy's Investigate integrated research management system provides game-changing new capabilities for researchers in translational science by integrating data flows and analytics across the lab, clinic and biobank settings. Remedy has also deployed powerful new clinical registries like ComprehensiveOncology (suite of solid tumor and blood cancer registries), ComprehensiveBMT (blood and marrow transplant registry), RemedyJoint (total joint replacement registry), and many others that enable tracking of patient outcomes and conducting clinical research.

"Healthcare information technology is a key area of focus for Merck's Global Health Innovation Fund," said Joe Volpe, investment principle for GHIF. "We believe Remedy's technology platform is well positioned to help advance life science research discoveries."
