Regeneron Pharmaceuticals, Inc. Executive Outlines Strategy For Avoiding Affordable Care Act Penalties

For some larger employers, the next big issue in health insurance is the so-called Cadillac tax, a penalty on companies offering high-end health benefit packages to workers.

That's according to Brian Fagan, who is associate director of benefits for Regeneron Pharmaceuticals Inc., the drug developer headquartered in Tarrytown, New York.

The company also is among the largest private-sector employers in the Albany region, with about 900 workers at its East Greenbush manufacturing facility. Regeneron (Nasdaq: REGN) has about 2,500 employees total.
