Recovercare, LLC Appoints Mary Zappone Chief Executive Officer
Bidner, who personally recruited Zappone to the Company earlier this year, made the decision to step down in order to spend more time with his wife and newborn son and to dedicate additional effort toward his family’s philanthropic and charitable endeavors. With his strong endorsement, Zappone’s appointment received the full support of RecoverCare’s Board of Directors.
Mr. Bidner, who will remain as a senior advisor and substantial investor in RecoverCare, said, "I am extremely pleased that Mary will succeed me as CEO. Zappone has over 20 years of senior management experience at diverse global companies, including Tyco, General Electric, McKinsey & Company and Exxon. Before joining RecoverCare, she served as President of Alcoa's Oil & Gas unit where she fast-tracked its market entry with five interdependent global contracts and commercialized seven new products. Zappone holds an MBA in Finance/Marketing from Columbia Business School and a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Johns Hopkins University.
