San Diego, California (PRWEB) June 27, 2013 -- Rancho BioSciences, a strategic life science outsourcing company announced today that they have joined as a partner in the Orion Bionetworks alliance. Orion Bionetworks is a unique team dedicated to transforming the study of brain disorders and accelerating the discovery of new diagnostics, treatments and cures by combining the power of high-performance computing and information technologies with biomarkers and big data.
Orion Bionetworks comprises an evolving and growing community of collaborators drawn from industry, academia, government, and patient advocacy. The team’s focus includes systems biology disease modeling and knowledge management infrastructure capable of integrating diverse types of data and building predictive disease simulations.
As a part of the Orion Team, Rancho BioSciences will provide data curation, ontologies and vocabularies around the tranSMART knowledge management infrastructure, as well as multivariate genomic and clinical data analysis and disease pathway modeling based on multiple data types.
