Raleigh startup Scioderm has nabbed $9 million in equity in a recent fundraise. A newly released securities filing shows that the team still has $7 million to go in the round. The dermatological research firm aims to in-license or acquire pharmaceuticals to develop topical products. Its lead candidate, SD-101, aims to treat Epidermolysis Bullosa (EB), an inherited disease that causes painful blisters.
