Net sales for the second quarter ended June 30, 2013 were $184.6 million, up 64% from $112.5 million in the second quarter of 2012. The increase was driven primarily by the expanded usage of H.P. Acthar? Gel (repository corticotropin injection) by rheumatologists in the treatment of patients suffering from dermatomyositis, polymyositis, systemic lupus erythematosus, and rheumatoid arthritis.
