Quantitative Insights Appoints Keith Tipton as Chief Executive Officer

/PRNewswire/ -- Quantitative Insights Inc. today announced that Keith Tipton
has joined the company as chief executive officer. Mr. Tipton brings a rich background in computer-aided detection and diagnostic and therapy-related medical imaging devices to Quantitative Insights spanning 30 years of experience in research and development as well as business management. Mr. Tipton will be responsible for daily operations of the company, focusing on the launch of its flagship product, QuantX*.
Quantitative Insights (QI) was founded in 2010 and is based on technology that was created in the laboratory of Maryellen Giger, Ph.D., from the University of Chicago.
"Quantitative Insights is dedicated to bringing proven research to the marketplace, and Keith has a strong passion and a history for serving the needs of breast cancer care providers and their patients," said Dr. Giger, vice-chair for basic science research at the University's Department of Radiology, who acts as a scientific adviser for the company, "We are very excited to have Keith join the QI team."
Prior to joining Quantitative Insights, Mr. Tipton spent 14 years with Philips Healthcare, most recently as a founding member and head of research and development of Philips Women's Healthcare. Prior to Women's Healthcare, Keith was the general manager of Philips' Radiation Therapy Planning division and, earlier in his career, product development manager for many successful medical devices at Sopha Medical Systems and Analogic Corp. He holds a bachelor of science degree in Biomedical Engineering from Texas A&M University and an MBA from the University of Wisconsin.
