QIAGEN Recognized as One of the Best Companies to Work for in Life Science Industry

VENLO, The Netherlands, May 04, 2007 - QIAGEN N.V., the leading provider of sample and assay technologies, today announced that it has been recognized as one of the best places to work for in Life Sciences. The recognition was awarded on April 30 by "The Scientist", one of the world's leading magazines for the Life Sciences. In its 5th annual "Best Places to Work in Industry" Award the magazine surveyed representatives of 248 companies worldwide. They all assessed their working environment according to 45 criteria in eight categories such as "Research Environment", "Training and Development", "Job Satisfaction", "Remuneration and Benefits" and "Communications". QIAGEN ranks among the Top-10 companies with less than 4.000 employees. The Scientist's award is the latest award in a series of national and international recognitions for the Company's position as an employer of talented, passionate and motivated employees. For example, in March 2007, QIAGEN was also recognized by the Corporate Research Foundation (CRF) and Geva Institut in Munich as one of Germany's "Best Company's to Work for".
