PuriCore Launches NovaZo Wound Hydrogel For Equine And Companion Animals
MALVERN, PA (April 23, 2014) – PuriCore (LSE: PURI), a global company focused on safe and effective protection against the spread of infectious pathogens, today announced the launch of NovaZo™ Animal Health Wound Hydrogel Dressing. NovaZo Hydrogel is a safe and effective wound dressing for use on companion and large animals of all species including competitive animals. This new hydrogel aids in the management of wound exudates–which might contain dirt, debris, and/or microorganisms–providing for an optimal wound environment that enables the animal to heal itself.
NovaZo Hydrogel is PuriCore’s second NovaZo product based on its Vashe Wound Therapy products for humans, which have been FDA-cleared and on the market for seven years. In addition, PuriCore announced that NovaZo Solution, which was launched in October, is now available to veterinarians through MWI Veterinary Supply.

NovaZo Animal Health Wound Hydrogel Dressing is indicated for the management of, and plans of care for, wounds free of slough and necrotic tissue, traumatic wounds, post-surgical incision sites, cuts, abrasions, skin ulcers, burns, scratches, chronic inflammation sites and to control wound odors. The hydrogel acts as a barrier, protecting granulating wounds, and helps to relieve dry, waxy skin by maintaining a moist wound and skin environment, which is beneficial to the healing process.
