Psoria-Shield Reports Successful Exhibition At The American Academy of Dermatology's 73rd Annual Meeting

SCHAUMBURG, Ill., April 9, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Wellness Center USA, Inc. (OTCQB:WCUI) today announced the successful introduction of its targeted UV LED Phototherapy device, Psoria-Light®, at the recent 73rd Annual Meeting hosted by the American Academy of Dermatology in San Francisco, CA. Psoria-Light® is the first in the world DEEP UV LED Targeted Phototherapy device capable of effectively treating a variety of skin diseases such as Psoriasis, Eczema, and Vitiligo, without the risks and high costs associated with Excimer lasers. Psoria-Shield, Inc. (PSI) entered into several pre-purchase agreements with a number of US physicians at the show – with units expected to be delivered in late April to early May 2015.

Considered the premiere show serving the global dermatology community, the 73rd Annual Meeting hosted by the American Academy of Dermatology was a unique venue for introducing the Psoria-Light®. "Interest was extremely strong among physicians and medical distributors," according to John Yorke, Managing Director of The Medical Alliance (TMA). "Our initial research of the Psoria-Light® prior to our joint venture partnership with WCUI gave us compelling reasons to believe that we have a unique product capable of becoming the standard in the industry. However, having now dealt directly with the device and witnessing the level of interest from the dermatology sector, we have never felt more confident about the sales potential of the Psoria-Light® and our partnership with WCUI. I believe, hands-down, this is the best device on the market for treating certain skin diseases," Yorke added.

Psoria-Light's patented LED technology offers effective clinical and operational versatility in energy delivery which allows physicians to easily vary patient treatment parameters to accommodate each patient's needs. Psoria-Light's unique features enable service providers with extended benefits in patient outcomes, patient records, treatment comfort, and acquisition costs when compared to conventional Excimer lasers.

According to Chris Waugh, Founder and Director of The Medical Alliance, Psoria-Shield, Inc. anticipates having all primary US markets covered by August 2015. Waugh noted that "the International markets have long demonstrated interest in non-invasive phototherapy. With our regulatory certifications in place, we anticipate our sales launch to the European markets to begin later this year." Additionally, he added, "we are currently in negotiations with qualified and experienced distributors in India, Malaysia, and Australia to commence distribution of the Psoria-Light®. We anticipate these relationships to commence during this second quarter."
