ProTrials Research, Inc. Named One of the Fastest-Growing Companies in the U.S. and a Top Women-Owned Business in Silicon Valley

Mountain View, Calif. – September 15, 2009 – ProTrials Research, Inc.TM, a leader in the clinical research organization industry, today announced that it has earned a spot for the third consecutive year on Inc. Magazine’s Inc. 5000, an exclusive list of the fastest growing private companies in the U.S., and the Silicon Valley/San Jose Business Journal’s top women-owned businesses, a list of the largest public and private Silicon Valley women-owned businesses. The contract research organization (CRO) achieved these rankings based on revenue figures.

Inc. 5000 companies are chosen based on company’s year over year revenue growth for the past three years. To be considered, companies must be U.S.-based and privately held, for profit and independent – not subsidiaries or divisions of other companies. The 5000 companies that made the list reported aggregate revenue of $214 billion and median three-year growth of 126 percent.
The Silicon Valley/San Jose Business Journal list of the top 25 women-owned businesses ranks area public and private women-owned companies according to revenue. ProTrials is the only clinical research organization to make the rankings and is one of only a handful of women-owned and operated CROs worldwide.
