Protein Forest, Inc. Announces Appointment of Vice President, Global Sales and Marketing
Reporting to CEO Russell K. Garlick, Ph.D., Dr. Tonkinson has direct sales, marketing and customer services responsibilities with the specific goal of exponentially growing sales. Simultaneous to these efforts are the critical responsibilities of growing the current sales team and optimally positioning the company in the marketplace based on its development of products and services.

Dr. Tonkinson’s experience includes executive positions with organizations well known in the world of proteomics, instrumentation and diagnostics-oriented technologies. Most recently with HistoRx, Inc., New Haven, CT, he held the position of Vice President of Business Development as the company identified correlations to biomarkers and their application to clinical outcomes. Immediately after his post-doctoral position in Cancer Research with Eli Lilly, John joined Hybridon where he focused on in vitro and in vivo assay development. He later joined Schleicher & Schuell BioSciences, Inc. where he reached the position of Director, Sales and Scientific Services with responsibility for all corporate sales in North America.
John earned his Ph.D. at Columbia University from the department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biophysics. He received a BS in Biochemistry from the Philadelphia College of Pharmacy and Science.
