"Promex has always been known for the high caliber of its engineering staff," said Promex President and CEO Richard Otte. "Now we are also proud to be known as a company committed to the diversity of its executive management staff, and applaud Suzette's leadership position in the IEEE SCV WIE."

As the Director of Engineering at Promex, Pangrle manages the development of new processes for SMT, chip-on-board and IC packaging, and works directly with customers to identify and translate their requirements to process flows. A former chair of the IEEE SCV WIE Group, Pangrle holds a PhD in Materials Engineering, an MS in Metallurgy and Polymer Science Engineering and BS in Chemical Engineering.

"It's important for all engineers, male and female alike, to make time to actively update their technical skill set," Pangrle said. "I advise women engineers who would rather go for an advanced technical degree than an MBA that they must be able to evaluate the financial and marketing implications of new technology for their company if they want to move up the management ladder."
