Promega Corporation Release: Federal Judge Issues Ruling in Patent Rights Case

MADISON, Wis.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Today, in the United States District Court for the Western District of Wisconsin, Judge Barbara Crabb entered a judgment overruling a February 2012 jury verdict in favor of Promega. The ruling leaves intact the Court’s prior holding that sales by Life Technologies of Short Tandem Repeat (STR) products for use in clinical and research applications in the United States would violate Promega’s patents.
