Daily Tech -- The ability to generate power from movement holds great promise not only for consumer electronics devices, but in the medical field as well. Many medical devices that people around the world count on for monitoring and maintaining their health from pacemakers to glucometers run on batteries today. If the battery in a glucometer runs out the person can't monitor blood sugar and if the battery in the pacemaker runs out, the person could die.
