Prime Therapeutics Receives Innovators in Business Award for 2012 From Florida Governor Rick Scott

ST. PAUL, Minn., Dec. 21, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Prime Therapeutics (Prime) has been awarded the 2012 Innovators in Business Governor's Newcomer Award by Florida Governor Rick Scott for the outstanding contributions of Prime Therapeutics Specialty Pharmacy to the state's economic growth. Prime was honored during an evening reception at the Florida Governor's mansion in Tallahassee, FL on Dec. 10, 2012.

Prime Specialty Pharmacy is expanding the company's ability to manage specialty medicine functions and is projected to create 213 new jobs for the region over the next three years. Medications managed and delivered by the specialty pharmacy are often used to treat complex and chronic conditions such as multiple sclerosis, hepatitis C and cancer. The facility has been operating since early August with specialty pharmacy order processing, care management, fulfillment, billing and customer service.
