Pharmatek Laboratories, Inc. Announces New Seminar Series Pharmatek University Aims to Enhance Drug Development Knowledge in San Diego
SAN DIEGO, Dec. 5 /PRNewswire/ -- Pharmatek Laboratories, Inc. today announced the launch of Pharmatek University (Pharmatek U(TM)), a continuing education program for drug development scientists.
Pharmatek University is designed to provide a forum of scientific exchange for the local biotechnology and pharmaceutical industry. Topics focus on drug development and pharmaceutical technology. Seminars will cover issues such as analytical chemistry, formulation development, GMP manufacturing, toxicology, PK/ADME, drug safety, design of clinical trials, regulatory affairs, and drug delivery and pharmaceutical technology.

The first seminar in this series is scheduled for Thursday, December 6, 2007. Robert Ternansky, Ph.D., former senior vice president, chemistry for Attenuon, LLC, will present "Selecting and Managing a Contract Research Organization."
Future speakers include Judy Senior of Senior Consulting who will present on the topic of parenteral drug delivery and Jeff Schwegman of BioConvergence who will present on the topic of protein drug development.
