October 22, 2013 -- PerkinElmer, Inc., a global leader focused on improving the health and safety of people and the environment, today announced the opening of a new Center for Innovation in Hopkinton, Massachusetts. The facility features a state-of-the-art laboratory space where PerkinElmer engineers, scientists and customers can interact and share insights to benefit the life sciences market. The R&D teams working at the facility will focus on the development of new products and applications in key areas such as biotherapeutics, imaging and pathology, biomarker research and genomic analysis.
