Peli Biothermal Showcases New Coolpall Vertos At IQPC Europe
Peli BioThermal will showcase its new pioneering product range at IQPC Europe.
CoolPall Vertos, Peli BioThermal’s latest exclusive addition to its extensive range, will be unveiled to delegates and industry leaders at the IQPC event in Frankfurt, Germany.
Peli BioThermal also announced Design Manager Richard Wood and Design Engineer Sean Austerberry , will join fellow international, industry-leading experts addressing delegates at the global event.
On January 28th, day two of the IQPC event, Richard and Sean will be staging a talk entitled, Innovative Thermal Packaging. The talk will cover industry issues including considerations when using advanced packaging materials and innovative packaging design – Thinking Lean.
Richard Wood said: “We are looking forward to addressing delegates at IQPC Frankfurt. The purpose of the talk is to look at two case studies. The first will review a number of situations where we have assisted customers who have implemented TCP systems that utilise advanced packaging materials, but struggle to provide the level of protection and/or present ease of use for the user. We will show what may be the issue in these situations and review how we overcame these pitfalls.
“Sean will highlight how he designed an innovative product using a collaborative approach with customers and in conjunction with current LEAN process methodology.
“How, by looking at industry needs and considering LEAN manufacturing processes, he created a product which is both effective and simple to use.”
As well as displaying its full range of temperature control packaging solutions, Peli BioThermal will be informing delegates about its successful recent rebrand.
Peli BioThermal is the re-branded result of a collaboration of industry leading temperature control packaging solution providers Cool Logistics and Minnesota Thermal Science. UK based Cool Logistics, has joined forces with Minnesota Thermal Science under their new owner Peli Products - strengthening their position in the global market.
The cold chain consolidation creates an amalgamation of product design talent of which the new CoolPall Vertos is a prime example.

Robust performance and speed of use were the drivers for the introduction of the new range and all solutions have been designed with the ability to be flat-packed, modular, easily conditioned and assembled at great speed. Rapid assembly is just one of the innovative features of the new range - start to finish assembly time takes less than five minutes.
Packaging design engineer Sean Austerberry, said: “CoolPall Vertos represents a step change in the way we interact with bulk temperature controlled distribution - the ethos behind the design was to be streamlined and quick.
“The ergonomic design utilises innovative interlocking components to ensure very quick and easy assembly - timed trials are at just three minutes. This is something we will be demonstrating at IQPC.”
The cooling components required has been greatly reduced to just a quarter in quantity and coupled with the significant speed of assembly, alongside unique design elements, the new CoolPall Vertos makes for a ground breaking range.
CoolPall Vertos unique design elements include:
• Inspection hatch - minimising the potential for excursions during customs inspection
• Free standing components that lock into place - eradicating the possibility of incorrect packing
• Interlocking high density construction - increasing the possibility of re-use
