Osseon Therapeutics, Inc.' New Product Accelerates Growth

SANTA ROSA, Calif., Oct. 15, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Osseon Therapeutics, Inc. is gearing up for growth as European sales now account for over 40% of sales since new product introductions in Europe.

Osseon's newest product, the Osseoflex® SB, represents the first technological advance in vertebral augmentation devices in years. The Osseoflex SB steerable bone tamp, introduced to the European marketplace in Q2 2012, has driven the company's revenue. Distribution has expanded to 6 EU countries and is growing.

Doug Clark, former President of Osseon, has rejoined Osseon to help steer the company to the next level by becoming a member of Osseon's Board of Directors. Mr. Clark has over 25 years of experience in medical device sales, sales management and business development.

Osseon's new Director of Sales, Jon Nolan, has worked in sales and surgeon training at Zimmer Spine, Johnson & Johnson, Stryker, and Vertebron. Mr. Nolan also served as a U.S. Army Ranger Captain. Mr. Nolan will be focusing his attention on acquiring distribution opportunities in the U.S.

Ron Clough was promoted to Chief Executive Officer of Osseon in September. Mr. Clough has extensive experience with several companies that develop and market medical devices for the treatment of spinal disease, deformities and orthobiologics.
