OrthoSensor, Inc. Set to Hire Dozens after Signing Deal With Stryker Corporation  (SYK)

Sunrise-based OrthoSensor expects to hire dozens of people over the next year after it signed a deal with a division of Stryker Corp. .Stryker Corp. Fourteen-employee OrthoSensor seems small now, but it may have big potential after raising $30 million from investors, including Ziegler Meditech Capital Advisors and JPMorgan Highbridge Capital Management. The company has developed a technology platform based on computerized orthopedic impacts and related surgical equipment.

In its recent deal with the orthopedics division of Stryker (NYSE: SYK), OrthoSensor will design its KneeTrial technology to aid surgeons implanting Stryker’s Triathlon Knee System.
