Ortho-Tag Seeks FDA Approval for System that IDs Surgical Implants

Founded in April, Ortho-Tag Inc. plans to seek FDA approval to market a radio frequency tag and wand system that can identify artificial hips and knees, which are implanted by surgeons, CEO Ken Laing said. The company plans to submit its 510(k) application in the fourth quarter of this year.
