Charlottesville, VA – April 14, 2011 – OpenQ, a leader in helping life science companies efficiently and
compliantly engage medical networks, is once again leading the way by bringing its solutions to the
iPad. As a mobile solution working at the very point of interaction with influencers and stakeholders,
MobileQ is well positioned to enforce and monitor compliance in real-time as the interactions occur.
Three customers, including major global pharmaceutical companies, have selected MobileQ for their
field programs.
MobileQ offers several advantages distinctive among mobile solutions. The first thing users will notice
is that it provides a native application. In stark contrast to solutions reformatted to fit the Safari
browser, a native application enables customers to leverage the intuitive user interface designed to
take advantage of the iPad’s tablet format. Features like drag and drop, scrolling, and multi-touch are
an integral part of the experience.
Functionality in MobileQ is tightly integrated. Users can review healthcare provider (HCP) and
stakeholder profiles, record interactions (including off-label inquiries), share controlled and pre-
approved content, and much more all from within a single application. In addition to the convenience
of a single solution, customers get a full audit trail with actionable context. This means that someone
in the field can record information and review content and a manager at headquarters has the ability
to analyze the data to help tune the content. For example, they may look for a correlation between
particular slides and off-label inquiries. Those slides can then be updated to provide more clarity and
avoid content that drives off-label activity. The updated content is then automatically pushed out onto
the iPad for future use. All capabilities are also available to iPad users while offline, allowing users to
browse content and profiles as well as record interactions while disconnected. Data then synchronizes
when the device is back online.
“We’re very excited about the new functionality the iPad brings to our customers,” said Matt Prentis,
Director of Product Management at OpenQ. “The iPad allows OpenQ solutions to be at the point of
interaction between users and HCPs. Imagine being able to immediately respond to an HCP’s question
with the latest content, then have this automatically become part of your interaction notes. This
provides a higher quality interaction in the field, while providing headquarters with much greater
insight into those engagements and associated content utilization.”
